Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity
for an Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Mid-Level Manager
to join the Air Dominance E3 Capability Team located in Berkeley,
MO.
Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) is a highly specialized
field that is critical to the success of Development programs. The
selected candidate will have demonstrated performance as a leader
capable of managing a diverse workforce and coordinating resources
across multiple programs at multiple sites and will manage
resources, processes, program support and E3 Functional
participation in a manner that supports successful program
execution.
The selected candidate must develop and maintain relationships and
partnerships with Technical Experts, customers, stakeholders, peers
and direct reports as well as provide oversight and approval of
technical approaches, products and processes. Individuals will also
be expected to manage assignments on time, within budget, while
delivering high quality results.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the successful execution of all Electromagnetic Environmental
Effects activities on multiple projects and programs
Develop and implement viable schedules, project execution plans and
resource plans in accordance with the Boeing Program Management
Best Practices along with effective coordination and communication
with program engineering and program management regarding all
phases of E3/EME (Electromagnetic Effects) design and support
Acquire resources for projects and processes, provide technical
management of suppliers and lead process improvements
Implement policies and procedures, and establish team goals
including key performance indicators.
Accountable for the quality of the technical data produced.
Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers,
stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
Manage, develop, and motivate all levels of engineers and regularly
meet one-on-one with each employee
Promote and enable knowledge transfer to aid in growing our next
generation of leaders and engineers.
Manage resources for the daily engineering assignments related to
subsystem requirement development/validation, platform
architecture, and aircraft qualification.
Foster a collaborative environment that drives team success
This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance
(U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has
been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
The ability to obtain Special Program Access or other Government
Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in
engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing
engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data
science, or computer science
5+ years of engineering related experience.
5+ years of experience in the aerospace industry
3+ years of experience managing schedules, budgets and technical
content for complex projects
3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding, and leading
teams
Experience in advising and influencing managers or non-managers to
meet schedules or resolve technical or operational problems.
Experience in teaching, coaching, leading by influence, and
developing others effectively
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Currently a manager or previously held a manager position

Knowledge of and experience with Program Management Best
Practices.
Previous experience in Electromagnetic Effects
Familiarity with MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464, MIL-STD-704, and/or
DO-160
5 or more years of experience in leading teams or projects
Experience with Electromagnetic Environmental Effects subjects
including TEMPEST, HEMP, HERO, HERF, HERP, shielding, cable
construction, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-464 requirements
Avionics systems experience and familiarity with fighter aircraft
and weapons systems requirements decomposition, integration and
testing

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well

Typical summary pay range: $160,650 - $217,350
