Project Manager Locations: St. Louis, MO | Columbia, MO | Kansas
City, MO Job Type: Full-Time Overview This is a growth-focused,
leadership-track role designed for an experienced electrical
professional ready to lead projects, build client relationships,
and take ownership of the full project lifecycle. The ideal
candidate will thrive in a deadline-driven, team-oriented
environment and be excited by the opportunity to wear multiple
hats—from engineering and project management to occasional proposal
support and client-facing meetings. What You’ll Do Manage multiple
electrical design projects across various stages of development,
from early schematics through construction administration. Serve as
the lead engineer and project manager on assigned efforts—owning
scope, schedule, budget, design quality, and client communication.
Coordinate internally with MEP teams and externally with
architects, consultants, and utility providers. Lead or contribute
to client meetings, site visits, field observations, and punch list
efforts. Execute technical design tasks including lighting and
power system layouts, service load calculations, short circuit and
voltage drop analysis. Prepare one-line diagrams, equipment specs,
and written narratives. Support documentation and quality control
processes, including construction specifications and peer reviews.
Take part in proposal development or fee planning as opportunities
arise. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
or Architectural Engineering (required). 5 years of experience in
commercial electrical system design, ideally across healthcare,
K-12, aviation, and/or mixed-use sectors. Familiarity with NEC,
IBC, and sustainable design standards (LEED AP BDC is a plus).
Experience in client-facing roles with the ability to manage
multiple stakeholders and project demands. Proficient in AutoCAD;
Revit experience is strongly preferred, but the team will support
growth if you're comfortable getting up to speed. Working knowledge
of SKM, AGi32, and Bluebeam is beneficial. PE license preferred or
in active pursuit. Candidates with a clear path to licensure will
be prioritized. Soft Skills & Traits That Will Set You Apart
Comfortable in a fast-paced, multitasking role with 5–10 active
projects in varying stages. Ambitious and eager to take on
leadership—this team is not hierarchical; you’ll have immediate
opportunity to own your work. Culturally aligned with a
high-performance team: focused, respectful, accountable, and eager
to improve. Open to feedback, proactive about solutions, and
committed to long-term client success. What Success Looks Like
Within your first year, you'll be expected to integrate into the
team's workflow, contribute meaningfully to client deliverables,
and begin leading your own projects. Success will be measured by
technical excellence, team integration, client satisfaction, and
overall ownership of your work. The team uses a proprietary
performance-based incentive program (PIPS) that ties bonus earnings
(up to 30 to 40%) to metrics like teamwork, innovation, mentoring,
and client feedback. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base
salary ($70K–$140K depending on experience), with annual
performance bonus potential up to 40% of base. Two comprehensive
healthcare plan options and generous support for family coverage.
PTO and paid holiday schedule. 401(k) with employer contribution.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options. Basic Life and Long-Term
Disability coverage. Professional development support and
fast-track leadership opportunities. Equal Opportunity Employer We
value integrity, ownership, and innovation—and believe great ideas
come from a diverse team. All qualified applicants will receive
consideration without regard to race, color, religion, gender
identity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, veteran, or
disability status.
