Job Description:
Join the LDRP group at Mercy South - this is a collaborative
group of RN's who are looking to add a PRN coworker for the care of
labor and delivery patients and their newborns. The ideal candidate
for this role MUST have experience in Labor and Delivery.Schedule:
7p-7:30am,NightsSHIFT REQUIREMENT: Three shifts in 6 weeks, one
being on a weekend. 2 holidays.Labor and DeliveryOur
PatientsModerate to high-risk patients in the labor and delivery
population over 32 weeks gestationObstetrical Emergency
DepartmentVaginal and C-Section Deliveries and Postpartum
careAntepartum patientsWhat We DoWe collaborate with an
interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care of laboring
and c-section patients as well as OB ED and antepartum patients.Our
Floor19 bed unit serving Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Well
Newborn, and Antepartum patients3 bed OB Emergency DepartmentOB
Hospitalist, dedicated CRNA on the unit 24 hr/7 days a weekNeonatal
Nurse Practitioner on the unit 24 hr./7days a weekMercy South has a
Level 2 NICU adjacent to LDRP and OB EDFresh renovations complete

of an accredited registered professional nursing programLicensure:
Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current
RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in
which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of
nursing requirements.Physical requirements/demands: - Position
requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a
regular basis- Position requires prolonged standing and walking
each shift- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend,
kneel, twist, and squat to perform dutiesCertifications: Basic Life
Support certification through the American Heart Association or
successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more
of the certifications below may be required based on the
position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within
department required timeframe:- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life
Support)- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)- ENPC (Emergency
Nursing Pediatric Course)- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)- CPHON
(Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)- OCN (Oncology
Certified Nurse)- BLS (Basic Life Support)- PALS (Pediatric
Advanced Life Support)- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and
Stabilization)- S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood
Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment &Care
Modules- C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)- Other unit specific
