Join the LDRP group at Mercy South - this is a collaborative group of RN's who are looking to add a PRN coworker for the care of postpartum mothers and their newborns. The ideal candidate for this role has experience in Women's Healthand/or Mother Baby.Schedule: 7p-7:30am,Nights.SHIFT REQUIREMENT: Three shifts in 6 weeks, one being on a weekend. 2 holidays.Mom Baby Experience requiredMother BabyOur PatientsWell babies born over 35 weeks gestationVaginal and C-Section Deliveries and Postpartum careWhat We DoWe collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based careAssist in deliveries to provide transitional newborn careIn Mother/Baby, we educate patients on how to care for their infant and themselves after birth during the postpartum period.Our Floor12 bed LDRP unit1:3 or 1:4 nurse to couplet (mom and baby) ratioOB Hospitalist on the unit 24 hr/7 days a weekNeonatal Nurse Practitioner on the unit 24 hr./7days a weekMichelle.simmonds@mercy.netWhat we have to offer12-hr shifts with every third weekend rotationFellowship opportunitiesBenefits effective day 1 for eligible coworkers (48+ hours/period)Evening/Night/Weekend Incentive PayRN to BSN Bridge Program for nurses desiring to pursue a BSNBSN Incentive for nurses who have completed a BSN programQualifications:Education: Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing programLicensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.Physical requirements/demands: - Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform dutiesCertifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. One or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe:- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)- CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses)- OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse)- BLS (Basic Life Support)- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)- PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization)- S.T.A.B.L.E.
