Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Saint Louis, MO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,848 per week Shift Information: Nights - 4 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid state nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Must-Have: - Experience in Medical Intensive Care Unit and Surgical Intensive Care Unit - Skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Experience with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure - Proficient in obtaining 12 lead EKG/ECG - Skilled in Central Venous Pressure monitoring and Pulmonary Artery Line monitoring - Knowledge in management of chronic and acute renal failure - Experience with arterial line management and blood product administration - Proficient in central line care and management, including PICC line management - Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs and administering continuous IV sedation - Knowledge of emergency medications and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips - Experience in CVA and acute stroke management - Proficient in assisting with management of BiPAP and care of ventilated patients - Skilled in interpretation of arterial blood gases - Knowledge of infection prevention and isolation precautions - Experience in phlebotomy and care of surgical wounds with drains or wound vac Description: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our intensive care unit. Candidates must have a strong background in ICU nursing. The position requires the ability to care for patients with various complex conditions. Patient illnesses may include respiratory failure, acute chest pain, and multi-organ failure. The nurse will work in a fast-paced environment with a 1:2 patient ratio. This role requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services, physical therapy, and pharmacy. The candidate should be able to float to various ICU units as needed. Weekend work every other weekend is required. The ideal candidate will have experience with advanced monitoring equipment and invasive procedures. Candidates must be able to demonstrate excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and their families.
