We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.The Branch Network Engineering and Strategy team has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Architect who can deliver network solutions that will support and advance the transformative strategies of our growing financial services organization.This motivated and driven individual should possess experience with cloud and on-premises networks, associated automation experience (Terraform, Perl, Ansible, Python, etc.) and HW and SW defined solutions experience. Routing, switching, wide area connectivity, and other typical network solutions (firewalls, DNS, load balancing, wireless, etc.) are desirable skill as well.

What You'll Do:

• Research and evaluation of new solutions according to business needs
• Developing recommendations and business cases
• Developing, and executing deployment plans
• Engaging in complex problem solving and troubleshooting activities
• lead small project teams to achieve timely and quality results
  Edward Jones has a robust lab environment for research and experimentation with new technologies and configurations. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset and the technical acumen to articulate, prove, and implement solutions.
  What Experience You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology preferred or related work experience
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with enterprise network solutions, to include cloud and on-premises networks (Azure, AWS, etc.), and HW and SW defined networks
  • Minimum 10 years of experience with automation and scripting in an enterprise network environment
  • Experience with network automation solutions to include Terraform, Perl, Ansible and Python
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with enterprise network solutions, to include shared services such as firewalls, application load balancing, DNS and wireless
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum environment (using Jira)
  • Knowledge and experience in other areas of Information Technology (security, computing, operating systems, application infrastructure and development, etc.)
  • Able to ascertain business requirements, research and identify solutions, and make recommendations supported by a properly developed business case that includes technical feasibility, costs, benefits, etc.
  • Able to develop and execute project / deployment plans that meet scope, time, cost, and quality requirements
  • Able to quickly assess, mitigate risk, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues using industry standard tools to include packet analyzers
  • Able to develop processes and documentation according to the needs of the organization
  • Able to provide technical leadership and strategic direction in alignment with IS and firm objectives
  • Able to establish and maintain professional relationships throughout the organization and with vendors
  • Able to collaborate and influence others, to include peers, leaders, and vendors
  • Able to mentor and build the technical skills of others, and foster a strong and collaborative team environment
  • Ability to multi-task and participate in large, complex, and concurrent projects
  • Able to lead small teams in the delivery of technology solutions
  • Strong understanding of project management concepts
  • Knowledge of brokerage or financial company processes

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
