long-term individual investors. Our Legal Division is expanding to
enhance solutions for millions of clients and their families. We
are looking for a Legal Operations Lead to join our team. Legal
Operations is an emerging discipline that broadly leverages people,
process and technology to optimize the value of the Legal Division
to the broader enterprise. This role is a chance for a
self-motivated individual with operations, technology, project
management and/or process optimization experience in a corporate
setting, to apply their skills to a legal division working on a
wide range of complex matters for a Fortune 300 firm. The
successful candidate will be versatile, able to connect tasks and
individual contributions to the "big picture" and have the
confidence to add strategic thought leadership to the team as well
as senior decision-makers. Responsibility Summary: --- Drive and
influence advancement of Legal Division's maturation in core
operational areas such as strategic planning, technology, firm and
vendor management, change management, business intelligence and
project and program management. --- Prioritize and connect Legal
Operations initiatives to drive facilitation of Legal Division's
support of the firm's strategic transformation. --- Lead or support
Legal Operations projects, including ongoing ownership of
cross-functional initiatives such as implementation of the Legal
Division's Enterprise Legal Management system to evolve matter
management and outside counsel billing and management. --- In
collaboration with Legal Operations Director and Leader(s), develop
tools for tracking team initiatives and goals. --- Identify
measures of successful adoption, utilization, proficiency, and risk
mitigation in consultation with sponsor, Legal Operations
leader(s), and firm change team. --- Develop strategies and collect
data on measures of successful adoption, utilization, proficiency
and change risk mitigation to share with the Legal Division and
firm. --- Evaluate the experiences of various Legal Division
Associate stakeholders to determine unmet Legal Operations needs
and identify opportunities to innovate leveraging people, process
and technology. --- Apply Legal Operations industry research
insights to develop messaging, positioning and Legal Operations
strategy. --- Proactively collaborate with the Legal Operations
Leader(s) and support strategy development for Legal Operations.
--- Contribute to the strategic direction of Legal Operations
initiatives, in alignment with division and firm objectives and
strategies. --- Provide thought leadership to senior leaders on
strategy, and programs of responsibility in order to plan and
implement execution to meet relevant division goals and objectives.
--- Champion an innovation mind-set and create an inclusive,
engaging environment that supports and encourages change. ---
Engage in design thinking to critically reframe and scope design
problems to empathize, design, develop, prototype, and test
innovative products, services, and experiences. --- Lead project
teams and cross-functional groups to identify, evaluate and
implement innovative solutions for the Legal Division. The Legal
Operations Lead will be based in St. Louis and could have a hybrid
(HQ Office/Home) work arrangement. Bachelor's degree required.
Doctor of Jurisprudence (JD) or Master's degree a plus. Familiarity
with and understanding of the legal operations industry and
competencies referenced in the Corporate Legal Operations
Consortium Core 12 is preferred. Requisite business experience with
at least 10 years of experience, preferably in fields like Legal
Operations, organizational development, change management,
consulting, communications, and project management. Excellent
strategic and process thinking abilities; ability to simplify
complex issues and take a pragmatic approach to communications
deliverables. Ability to architect and implement large/complex
change and operate easily between concept and operation. FORTUNE
