We are looking to fill an opening for a carrier procurement specialist. Do you have experience in logistics (brokerage, asset operations, warehouse leadership) and want to move on to a different experience in the logistics field? If you are self-motivated, can work independently and accomplishing a goal after putting in the time fires you up; this is the role for you! Your current position might be: logistics coordinator, truck related customer service, dispatcher, load planner. What you'd be doing in this position * Building relationships with current carriers * Scouting quality carriers to connect with and expand carrier base * Pairing carriers with contracted high-volume freight * Negotiating rates * Processing Contracts * Work closely with sales and management team * Tendering & Tracking contracted loads * Ensuring contracted lanes are being serviced to the customers standards * Address any compliancy issues in a timely and effective way We're looking for candidates with the following * Able to communicate clearly in person, phone, and email * Ability to work independently and productively * Microsoft office (intermediate skills in Excel preferred) * College degree or work experience equivalent * Min of a couple years of experience in logistics * Sales experience helpful * Relationship building skills * Ability to prioritize and multi task * Team player!!
