Job Description:Job Title: CounselorLocation: St. Peters, MODepartment: Recovery ServicesEmployment Type: Full TimeJob Summary:As a Counselor, you will be responsible for assisting individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorder(s) in accordance with their treatment plan to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and educational/working environments.The Counselor position offers...Paid Time Off - 29 days per year including vacation & holiday pay (for full-time employees)All-Inclusive Employee Benefits Package - A robust employee benefits package encompassing health, dental, vision, retirement, disability, life insurance, wellness program, and moreTelemedicine - 24/7 phone, web, or mobile app medical, behavioral health, & dermatology visits with copays as low as $15 if enrolled in health benefitsEmployee Assistance Program - 24/7 counseling services, legal assistance, & financial consultation for you and your household at no costPremier Training - Encompassing initial immersive onboarding, continuous skill enhancement, comprehensive curricula, and a supportive learning atmosphereWorkplace Culture - An environment cultivating employee wellbeing, valuing each individual's humanity, and actively promoting healthy, joyful workforce engagementKey Responsibilities:Complete intake/screening/assessment process within appropriate time frames as designated by state regulatory/accrediting body/agency standards.Develop treatment plans for clients in accordance with state regulatory/accrediting body guidelines that demonstrate individualization and evolution based on information gathered from assessment.Complete correspondence in a timely fashion.Participate in clinical staffing/treatment team meetings providing feedback on pertinent cases.Adhere to weekly Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) expectations/service provision model.Document all services provided in accordance with state regulatory/accrediting body/agency standards.Ensure that services are entered within the appropriate time frame, appropriate format, note refer to treatment plans, etc.Correct any file/charting deficiencies within the appropriate time frame.Assist clients through the transition process and complete final correspondence such as transition summary, plan, letter, etc.Other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor, Program Director, Vice President, or the Executive Team members.Education and/or Experience Qualifications:Missouri:Masters or bachelors degree (non-licensed) in a human services field, and/or certified/credentialed to provide services within scope of practiceHold the credentials of a Qualified Addiction Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)Certified Reciprocal Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRADC)Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CRAADC)Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP)Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor-Provisional (RADC-P)Registered Alcohol Drug Counselor (RADC)Co-occurring Disorder Professional (CCDP)Co-occurring Disorders Professional Diplomate (CDPD-D); ORHold the credentials of a Qualified Mental Health Professional as defined by the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. (MCB)Individual with a masters or bachelors degree in a human services field (non-licensed) and/or is certified/credentialing to provide services within their scope of practice.Individuals must be willing to become credentialed in additional states, other than the state currently licensed in.Individuals must be willing and comfortable with providing telehealth services to the individuals we serve.Employment Requirements:Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.Current drivers license in state of residency, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.First Aid certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.Obtain CPR certification within three (3) months of beginning employment and upon renewal date.Behavioral Management training completed within thirty (30) days of employment or first available class after start date:CPI for Residential programsPeaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient programsAchievement of fifty (50) hour training requirement annually (Missouri Only)Growth and Development form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.Privileging and Credentialing form (CPRC only) within thirty (30) days of employment.Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the associate is assigned.Provide a copy of applicable certifications/licenses.Brightli is on a Mission:A mission to improve client care, reduce the financial burden of community mental health centers by sharing resources, a mission to have a larger voice in advocacy to increase access to mental health and substance user care in our communities, and a mission to evolve the behavioral health industry to better meet the needs of our clients.As a behavioral and community mental health provider, we prioritize fostering a culture of belonging and connection within our workforce.
