Make a difference.As Vice - President Datacom Sales, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for the execution of all plans related to growing Datacom sales for the Company. Ensure the short- and long-term growth and profitability of this vertical market through new customer development, growing current customers and enhancing the Datacom sales organization. Oversee the Company's Datacom sales function, including providing strategic direction and accountability to achieve sales goals through the Director, Datacom Sales position in each territory.In this role you will:

  • Provide leadership to the Datacom sales function, establishing and implementing short- and long-term sales goals, objectives, policies, and procedures, and ensuring goals and objectives are attained.
  • Direct and oversee the Datacom sales function to identify and develop strategies for new customers and markets for products and services.
  • Lead liaison efforts with supply chain, pricing, marketing, and customer service to develop and execute plans, which will complement new and existing sales and marketing efforts.
  • Direct the preparation, issuance, and delivery of Datacom sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of Datacom sales programs and the overall organization, including territory Datacom sales performance.
  • Develop and maintain executive relationships with key customers and suppliers so that the Company is properly positioned within the marketplace. Attend various industry, community, and/or business meetings to promote the Company. What you bring to the table:
    • 10+ years of experience required.
    • Experience leading change in a large direct sales force.
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or related major required; advanced degree preferred.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead people, positively influence across all functions of the organization and drive results.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic plans, to provide clear direction and to hold people accountable.
    • Highly developed analytical, problem solving, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
    • Demonstrated business acumen and knowledge of the wholesale distribution industry, the Company's customers, suppliers and external market conditions.
