expanding our team and seeking a motivated Employee Benefits Sales
& Account Development Specialist to support new business growth,
strengthen client relationships, and drive strategic benefits
solutions. Position Overview The Employee Benefits Sales & Account
Development Specialist plays a key role in generating new business
opportunities, supporting producers, and helping employer groups
optimize their benefits strategy. This role combines consultative
sales, data-driven recommendations, and exceptional follow-through.
You will engage directly with prospects, prepare proposals, deliver
presentations, and help lead annual renewal and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities - Drive new business development through
prospecting, lead follow-up, networking, and relationship building
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand employer needs, pain
points, and strategic goals - Prepare and deliver benefits
proposals, plan comparisons, cost analyses, and presentations -
Collaborate with producers and leadership to develop and execute
sales strategies - Support RFP processes, quoting, underwriting
submissions, and carrier negotiations - Lead renewal analysis,
prepare client-ready recommendations, and identify
upsell/cross-sell opportunities - Maintain a strong pipeline using
CRM tools and consistently track sales activities - Build strong
relationships with carriers, vendors, and clients to support growth
initiatives - Stay informed on trends in group health, legislative
updates, and emerging plan strategies Qualifications - 2–5 years of
experience in employee benefits, insurance sales, HR consulting, or
related field - Proven success in B2B sales, client acquisition, or
consultative account development - Strong understanding of medical,
dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits -
Experience preparing benefits proposals, cost models, and
presentation materials - Excellent communication, negotiation, and
presentation skills - Highly self?motivated, proactive, and
comfortable in a goal-driven environment - Health Insurance License
